Global warming is accelerating glacier melt, while conventional protection materials often release microplastics into surrounding ecosystems.

To reduce this impact, specialized geotextiles made from biodegradable cellulosic fibers developed by LENZING™ are used to protect glaciers without harming the environment. Once their life cycle is completed, these materials are recovered and transformed through an innovative recycling process developed by the Italian startup Glacier Threads.

The regenerated fibers are combined with cotton to create a new textile system that extends the life of materials originally designed for environmental protection.

The result is a fabric shaped by circular thinking and material innovation, carrying the physical memory of extreme environments into a new generation of garments designed to evolve through use and time.
